All the children have worked really hard this half term and they have all completed the statutory tests. Well done!

In art the children have created a sea turtle foil artistic picture. This involved the children creating a watercolour background, using a textured material to create a pattern on the foil which was coloured in and then hessian was used for the head and legs.

Today the children wrote their non chronological report on their chosen Australian animal. These are going to be displayed in a class book.

In maths this week we have been looking at temperature and capacity as ways of measuring. If you have time over the holidays it would be useful if the children could measure liquids using mililitres and litres.

Today we introduced the children to our year 2 summer production. The children were shown each of the countries we will be visiting and have had the opportunity to say the parts they would prefer. rehearsals begin straight after half term.

The children should have bought home a letter today about the classes being mixed up before they go to the juniors. Please discuss with your child and complete the back of the letter which gives your child the opportunity to say which 3 friends they would like to be with although we cannot guarantee they will be with all of them.

Have a lovely week off.
