This week has been extra exciting with aboriginal dance, healthy living and eating workshops and spirited arts day.
Spirited arts day was a REAL day of religion, art and literacy. The whole school took part and had the theme of peace. Year 2 thought about different types of peace: peace and quiet, our own peaceful places and peace connected to religions. They then planned a piece of mixed media art work to show how they wanted to represent peace. The second half of the morning was spent creatively producing their art work. The children then had to write about their art work and why they had represented it this way. At the end of the day we all got to walk around every classroom to see all of the art work.
We have also continued to practise songs for our production which will be on Tuesday 3rd of July at 9.15 and Thursday 5th July at 2pm. Also the children have begun to learn their dances and words for their parts. Next week we will be sending home a letter about costumes. Thank you in advance for your support.
Don’t forget 7pm at the juniors when you will be meeting their year 3 teachers. We wish you all the best.
Have a lovely weekend and Eid Muburak.
