Following John O’Leary’s visit at the beginning of the month, we now have “bound” books with green class’s versions of the story “Fortunately, Unfortunately”. Thank you very much to Mrs Yerbury who put the books together, with the children making front covers with the title and authors on the front. They look fantastic. Below are photos of the display of the books.
The books will be on display on Thursday. We also have the prints the children made with Mrs Reed, an RE book and Easter Garden, sunflower shoots which are growing and all the thoughtful, careful work the children have done in their topic and Maths books there for you to share with your children on Thursday afternoon, from 2.30pm, or on Friday morning, from 8.30 till the start of the day. They could also show you the resources we use, including the Maths manipulatives and the new “Easy Ears” story “headsets” (purchased by the parents’ via kind donations via CHISS). And handwriting is also very popular, so you could see your child’s handwriting books and the online “teach handwriting” package we use.
A thank you also to Mrs Sarkar who comes into class to play games and do sewing with the children, enhancing the children’s learning and enabling them to do some small-group learning, which the children really enjoy and benefit from.
We hope to see lots of you on Thursday or Friday. Let’s also hope that the sunshine continues, even if the chilly wind remains.
