Our first half-term finished with a week packed with lovely activities and fun.
We started with a Sikh Workshop. Mr Harkirat Singh came to school on Monday and opened the day with a whole school Assembly. Afterwards he visited each classroom to talk about the Sikh way of life. In year 1 he talked about how we should be thankful for the world we live in and the children talked about ways of saying thanks and looking after all the living things and drew the things they thought need caring for in the world.
Then we perfected our songs during Music time getting ready for our double performance on Thursday. We were really proud of how they remembered the words for all the songs and especially how they performed the Year 1 song, “How many people here for dinner?”.
You may have noticed that we haven’t sent any extra tasks on their home learning books today. We understand that they all need a week of fun and family time.
It was lovely meeting you all during Parents Consultations on the last couple of days and getting to understand your children better.
We wish you all a restful and peaceful week and look forward to welcoming you back on the 30th October.
