Another week of rehearsals and Year 1 is nearly ready for their first dress rehearsals. They are getting more and more confident with the words. We wonder if you’ve had the delights of their practicing at home. If you haven’t returned your childn’s costume yet, please do so by Monday.

A quick reminder that on Monday we are all walking to St Paul’s Church for a Christmas Trail. This activity is promoted by the Church itself and we are grateful that we have been invited. We are looking forward to a morning of creative activities around the Christmas theme. Please dress warmly and don’t forget to name extra winter accessories such as gloves, hats, scarves, earmuffs, etc.

We are so proud of the writing the children completed today creating a diary entry for Traction Man, We can already see how much progress they have made this term. They tried really hard today to remember their finger spaces, capital letters and full stops.

Today we had a special assembly to switch on the lights on the Christmas Tree. Some children took samples of the decorations they have been making in class to represent their classes in the tree. Thank you for the donations received to the Salvation Army. They have been placed underneath the tree and will be collected next week.

In Maths we have finished our unit on addition and subtraction within 20 and will continue to practice word problems next week.

Have you all a lovely weekend. Keep warm and keep smiling. We are nearly there. We can smell the mince pies!
