We can’t believe it’s half term already!
In maths this week we have been looking at different types of data and how to sort it into different types of diagrams: bar charts, Venn diagrams and Carroll diagrams. The children have enjoyed sorting data and recording it. On Purple Mash we have added a data activity.
Today in science the children have completed our work on forces and painted their Gruffalos.
For the last two weeks our writing has been focused on extending sentences by adding conjunctions, adjectives and comparing real and made up creatures. They have also been writing in first person and past tense.
In computing the children have thought about how to keep themselves safe on the internet and mobile phones. We had a very interesting chat about facebook and instagram and we were surprised by the amount of children that use these.
In PE the children have enjoyed the gymnastic sessions using the big apparatus. Gold class have enjoyed their monster mash dance and are looking forward to swimming after half term. Silver class have made so much progress over this half term at swimming.
The children have started to learn songs for our schools birthday celebrations in April.
Have a nice half term
