This week has been eSafety week. The children in year 2 have focused on their own digital footprint. This involved thinking and a lot of discussion about the games and apps they use which are online. We began by completing an activitiy that involved the children sitting in a circle and passing a ball of wool across and around showing how we were all connected to each other. This was then compared to the World Wide Web.
Today the children wrote a review of the 3 books they have worked on over the last half term which were different versions of The Three Little Pigs and made this into a booklet. They have enjoyed the various versions of the story.
In maths we have continued to develop the skill of telling the time to 5 minutes on an analogue clock face. Please do continue practising this with your child as it is one of those skills that needs lots of repetition before fully understanding time.
In science the children have continued to learn about plants. We hope the cress seeds survive the holidays!
We hope you all have a lovely, safe and restful half term!
