With just one week to go, the children have been getting ready to go to Year 2. They visited their new classes and teachers on Thursday and have already started some work on their first Year 2 Topic: St Albans.
We finished off our Maths unit on measurement by making gingerbread men. We used what we learnt to measure the mass of the ingredients using weighing scales and estimated how many gingerbread men we could cut from a piece of dough. I hope you are having fun trying your own using the recipes we sent home. Green Class will get theirs on Monday. Get your spices ready!
Our last big write today was creating an imaginative story. They had great fun writing about an imaginary adventure from a special book.
Today we collected reading books and diaries in preparation for the end of term. If your child didn’t bring these today, please bring them in on Monday. On Wednesday we will be sending most of their work from this year home. They have decorated their own folders but it could be useful to send a carrier bag in to make it easier as we will also be sending the PE kits home that day.
Have a good weekend.
