Cunningham Hill Infant School Newsletter – April 2019
UPDATE FROM MISS COOPER
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Easter Bonnet Parade. The creations were fabulous. Holly, Red Class, Valen, Blue Class, Joshua, Purple Class, Ollie , Green Class, Sasha, Gold Class and Mahdiya, Silver Class came first in their classes. Last month the readathon took place. The children have raised over £800. This money will go towards buying books for the library. It was lovely to showcase the children’s singing and playing of musical instruments in the Spring Concert. Thank you to Mr Bainbridge for getting the children to such a high standard to be able to perform in front of so man adults. During an assembly the children were told about the Underwear Rule. Click here to watch the Pantosaurus clip that the children watched as well as guidance for parents and carers. Before returning for the Summer Term click here to be reminded of what the school’s expectations are for school uniform. We actively encourage our children to wear school uniform to school every day. It looks smart, helps to give the school identity and it is also practical. Our colours are purple, yellow and grey. The school strives for every child to have an excellent attendance level. We understand at times children can be unwell and are unable to attend school. The Government’s definition of good attendance is consider to be 96% or above. If attendance is below this the Government views this as being persistently absent. Click here for how many learning hours are lost through absences and lateness. I hope you all have a lovely Easter break and I look forward to welcoming you and your child back on Wednesday 24th April at 8.50am.
