World Book Day  Your children all looked AMAZING today, we have had a lot of fun talking about the different books and characters. We had a fashion show, book tasting and they have written a review about their favourite book. Thank you to the parents who came to share stories with the children.

Spelling lists Just to clarify the Common Exception words in the home learning books are an overview of the words that children need to be able to read and write at the end of year 1. It would be great if you be able to practice a few of these regularly to build their confidence. Each week a few of these words will be sent home for spelling/ handwriting practice. If your child is confident please encourage them to create a sentence including one or two of the words.

Heartwood Forest For our trip tomorrow please dress warmly as there is still a bit of a chill in the air: School jumper and any warm trousers. Having visited recently there is some mud around so wellies or sturdy shoes would be best. Please make sure your child’s packed lunch is clearly labelled. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to join us on the trip, if you are driving and meeting us there please could you arrive by 10 as we will be leaving the car park then.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we are very excited about our trip tomorrow!
