Cunningham Hill Infant School Newsletter – December 2018
UPDATE FROM MISS COOPER
Over the last week we have been treated to a wonderful production – The Polar Express, whih was performed by the Reception children – what stars they were! Following that, we had ‘Songs at St Luke’s’ which was led by the Year 1 children – what a polished performance. All the staff are to be congratulated for putting these performances together and organising the children so well throughout. Thank you to all of the parents, grandparents, friends and relations who came along to watch. A full venue always makes the atmosphere much better. We raised £140 for the Children’s Society. We have recently recruited two new governors, Lisa Wood, who has a daughter in Red Class and Graeme Bird who is from the local community. We look forward to working with them both. Christmas lunch was magnificent. The highlight for the children was a visit from Father Christmas. Thank you to the PTA for setting up the hall for the lunch and helping. The panto at St Albans Arena was a great fun. The PTA have already book tickets for next year to see Sleeping Beauty. I hope that you and your family have a lovely Christmas break and I look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday 8th January at 8.50am.

School Improvement Plan
In order to ensure that the school keeps moving forward and is improving, we have a School Improvement Plan (SIP), which we review throughout the year. This plan enables us to consider and improve each area of our work on an on-going basis. This plan is developed from information provided by Ofsted, governors, staff, parents & pupils. The identified areas for improvement this academic year are accelerating progress in writing, problem solving & reasoning in Maths, pitch & challenge and narrowing the gap.
Please consider the environment before printing this newsletter. All our school newsletters are now available online: www.cunninghaminfants.herts.sch.uk
