Our week began with a thought-provoking assembly by Chris from St. Luke’s Church. He spoke about what made a Hero and how we could all use our talents to be heroes in everything we do, at home or at school.
In Maths we have continued to learn about Money and have moved onto how we buy things if we haven’t got the exact money and have to work out the change necessary.
In English, we have started a lovely story about mini-beasts. On Friday the children created poems and illustrated them.
In Art and Design, the children have been experimenting with clay and creating a design of a mini beast. This has involved manipulating clay and using tools to create a desired effect.
In Geography we have been focusing on the weather and how it has changed since Winter and how it is changeable at this time of year. The children went on a weather walk and noticed the different temperatures using a thermometer from the morning to the afternoon and contrasting inside the classroom to outside. Needless-to-say, we were dodging the showers! The children have started to keep a diary of the weather. Let’s hope the temperature rises during the coming weeks.
Hoping you have all had a wonderful weekend and we look forward to another busy week ahead.
Do remember your School Councillor nomination forms if you wish to stand for election.
