We would like you to take part in a Cosmic Kids Yoga Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TY8xx7c6_z0 Not only does Yoga help with our flexibility, strength and co-ordination, it supports our concentration and helps us to feel more relaxed and calm.
Once you’re relaxed, listen to the story, ‘The Colour Monster’ by Anna Llenas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6wIEp-M4tg
- At the start of the story, the Colour Monster is feeling confused. When have you felt confused? What did you do in this situation? What can we do when we feel confused in the future?
- In this story, yellow refers to happiness, red is for anger and blue is linked to sadness. Do you agree with those colour choices? Why?
Have a look at these Mood Monsters (Please click the link to download the document) Mood Monsters
Can you identify the Mood Monsters? How do you know it is that Mood Monster? For example, the happy Mood Monster has a big smile. Discuss the facial features of each Mood Monster and how they help us to decide what type of Mood Monster they are. Can you think of a time when you have felt these different emotions? Use your face to represent the different Mood Monsters. What does a sad Mood Monster look like? What does a happy Mood Monster look like? What does an angry Mood Monster look like? Using a paper plate, make your own Mood Monster (If you don’t have any paper plates, draw a circle in your home learning book). Think about the colour and facial expression that you will need to represent that Mood Monster.
Have a lovely day,
