Today in writing the children have written a description of a setting from the Tin Forest when the forest is built from metal. They then compared the tin forest setting to the forest when the plants had grown and the animals returned. The children are developing their editing skills, we have sent home a sheet that needs editing for punctuation and spelling. We will be grateful if you can help your child to find the correct spellings using a dictionary, this can be paper or online.

In science the children investigated changing materials by adding heat. They melted chocolate and made popcorn thinking about the effect of the heat and whether it is reversible or not.

The children have been practising their songs please continue to learn the words for Sir Eglamore which we sent home a few weeks ago. We look forward to seeing you all at the Spring concert next week. Please remember that the ukulele performance will be in the afternoon only.

Letters have gone home today with Gold class about swimming for after the holidays. Please remember that ALL children need their own swimming hat.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Fernandes, Mrs Hostein and Miss Spencer.
