In maths this week the children have been recapping and developing their time telling skills. We are using analogue clocks and have really thought about what each of the hands stands for and used them to tell o’ clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to times. We will continue next week with telling the time to the nearest 5 minutes.

In writing today the children wrote their comparison between the Three Little Pigs and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs which they had planned last week. They used comparative language to write about the similarities and differences.

The children have continued to develop their programing skills by creating algorithms using blocks with variables to find out what happens when they change these. They added repeat and sound blocks to enhance their scratch files. The children then de-bugged their algorithms if they were not successful the first time.

In science the children created flowers using a range of materials and then labelled these to show they understood the functions of the different parts of the plants. They have also been observing what is happening to their beans from last week.

In RE we continued to think about prayer. This week we learnt about the Jewish Shabat and how prayer is used to thank their God for their day of rest.

Thank you to those parents who were able to attend Learning with your Child

Have a lovely weekend
